Personal WebsiteBerber Kramer is a Senior Research Fellow with the Markets, Trade, and Institutions Unit at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) based in Nairobi, Kenya. Her research focuses on financial inclusion, technology adoption, gender, and adaptation to climate change. She leads a research program that aims to strengthen agricultural insurance and finance in Ethiopia, India, and Kenya through digital innovations in the design of financial services. She also leads the Behavioral Intelligence work package and the impact assessment component in the CGIAR Research Initiative on Market Intelligence, contributing to the CGIAR action area on Genetic Innovation. Dr. Kramer has a PhD in Economics from the Tinbergen Institute in the Netherlands.
